Training in Laguna

Is it already February?  The sunny days are flying by.  I have put in two good weeks of training here in Laguna, and I am looking forward to three more.  Then it will be back to NC for two, and then racing begins.  

First big climb of the year

Last week I rode to the top of Saddleback mountain and met the boys at the top (they drove up).  It was about an hour and forty minutes of climbing on gravel roads.  I felt way better than I expected and had fun trying to minimize the time the boys would be waiting for me at the top.  They only had to wait for five minutes, so I was pleased with that!

Free beauty

I somehow manage to spend most of my money at Whole Foods, so that has put a dent on the O.C. spending spree.  It is good for me to attempt to resist the shopping malls!  So far, I have been quite successful.  At this point, my money seems better spent on massages and psychics. .. . I have been really into epsom salt baths lately.  Add a little lavender oil and it is quite luxurious actually.  Watching the sunset on the beach has become my new favorite ritual.  It’s free!
