Vegas

Well, that was a different experience!  I practically feel like I had a detox in Vegas.  I slept lots, ate at Whole Foods and put in some quality pool time.  I did go to Britney Spears on the last night.  We  were all VIP.  Seems Britney’s body guard is a big mountain biking fan.

It is fall here in Durango, and it is beautiful.  The yellow aspens against the perfect blue sky inspire me to get outside.  I am still riding the trails, but soon I will be running up hills.  I am already thinking about next season. . ..

Now is the time for putting on my power suit and doing a little negotiating.  I am also planning on hitting up the hot springs and doing some exploring in these amazing mountains.  I am sure it won’t be too long before I am looking at plane tickets to go somewhere. I am pretty addicted to all the moving around!

  1. Hot!!! And a great picture also btw. I love the fact that you ladies are real athletes and also very feminine. It gives me a tool to show my 8 year old daughter how you can kick but in sports and also be girly… Kudos!

Why don’t you pack up Marty, your bro and the whole Asheville crew and join us at ICEMAN up in Traverse City Michigan. One month away. Beer’s on me and my Bell’s Brewery MTB Team. We’d love to have ya.

  5. I’m a recovering heroin addict(12 yrs) who ALSO graduated from UNCA. Took me 10 yrs, thanks to the dope. I’ve been getting into bike riding recently, trying to get really healthy, and you are truly an inspiration!!! I’ve always been a tough chick, but I put myself through hell instead of putting my body to good, strong use. You give me a high goal to strive towards, but one that seems reachable. I guess I feel this way b/c you lived in Asheville, so it makes you more real- more local than other athletes. I just picked up jogging too- planning on doing a triathlon one day. Looking at pics of you, and reading your bio is helpful to my personal aspiration of becoming the super in-shape, wonder Kat that I know I can be. Thanks! You rock!!!!
